Frequently Asked Questions

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a research-based therapy that helps children build communication, social, and daily living skills. At Our Child Therapy, ABA is personalized and positive, focusing on helping children feel safe, supported, and successful in everyday life.

We use an empathetic, child-centered approach that focuses on each child’s strengths, emotions, and individual needs. Our therapists build trust through patience, compassion, and connection, and we partner closely with families throughout the therapy journey. Each care plan is specifically tailored to that child’s need.

Getting started is simple; it begins with our Welcome Packet. Once we receive your information, a team member will contact you to guide next steps and answer any questions.

No. Our Child Therapy currently has no waitlist for in-home ABA services. (Depending on your location and schedule availability)

We provide services for children and teens ages 2 through 17.

Most therapy sessions take place in your home. Services may also occur in the community when appropriate, focusing on real-life routines such as play, meals, transitions, homework, and daily activities. If the center allows, therapy sessions may also occur at school or daycares.

Your child will work directly with a trained Behavior Technician. A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) supervises services, completes assessments, creates the treatment plan, and monitors progress regularly.

A BCBA conducts an assessment and develops a personalized treatment plan based on your child’s unique strengths, needs, and goals. Therapy plans are adjusted as your child grows and progresses.

Therapy hours are based on your child’s individual needs and your family’s schedule. We work collaboratively with families to create a plan that is effective and realistic.
