About Our Fieldwork Program

At Our Child, we are dedicated to nurturing the next generation of behavior analysts through our weekly fieldwork meetings. Here, future BCBAs (Board Certified Behavior Analysts) and BCaBAs (Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts) come to gether to learn and grow in a supportive and educational environment.

Turn your career goals into reality.

Here’s What You Need to Know

Educational Requirements

  • Our mentees are required to start or obtain a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) or an accredited related field. This foundational education equips them with the theoretical knowledge necessary to excel in their roles.
  • All mentees must be an active Registered Behavior Technician.

Fieldwork Hours

  • Completion of 2,000 fieldwork hours is mandatory for all mentees. These hours are crucial for gaining hands-on experience and ensuring readiness for professional practice. A portion of these hours involves overlapping with experienced staff members to ensure proficiency in Behavior Skills Training (BST) and supervision.
  • Note, some mentees may have a smaller hour requirement based on their fieldwork type.

Practical Experience

  • You can earn indirect hours as a mentee by completing weekly overlaps and providing case assistance. This approach is designed to achieve clinical excellence and provide essential fieldwork experience through telehealth. By engaging in real-world scenarios, our mentees gain the skills and confidence to begin their journey as clinicians immediately.
  •  Our Child, we believe in fostering an environment where future behavior analysts can thrive, continuously learn, and ultimately contribute to the field with competence and compassion.
  • The overarching goal of the mentorship program is for the potential BCBAs and BCaBAs to take their exam and feel prepared to be a Clinical Supervisor.
